Q. How do I set up my Outlook or Outlook Express?

A. Open up your Outlook or Outlook Exress and click on "Tools", then ""Accounts", then ""Add", ""Mail" acct.



On the first screen you enter your name or business name, then click next. On the next screen enter your email address, then click next. On this screen in the field for Incoming Mail Server, enter: mail.yourdomain.com (substitute yourdomain.com with your actual domain). In the next field for Outgoing Mail Server, you enter the same thing as the Incoming Mail Server mail.yourdomain.com.



Then, in the "Account Name" field, enter your complete email address such as john@johnsmith.com .



In the "Password" field, enter your password that you set up for the email account on the server, then click "Next" and then "Finish"... you're almost done!

If your Internet Provider blocks port 25 to combat spam, such as Shaw and Telus you must change your SMTP outgoing mail server port number from 25 to 587.

Under the Servers Tab also put a check mark in the box that says "my server requires authentication".
